ABT Consumer Products Division (ABTCPD) respects the rights of individuals in relation to their personal data and recognizes privacy as being a fundamental human right, the right to privacy is protected in accordance of Article 21 of the Constitution, Information Technology Act 2000 and in accordance of the guidelines enumerated in Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This Policy ensures that privacy is embedded into our business operations and that the personal data we collect is processed lawfully and fairly, is kept secure against unauthorized processing, unlawful or accidental destruction, loss or misuse, and is deleted when it is no longer required.

This policy lays down our practices with respect to confidentiality and disclosure of personal information. Please read thoroughly and understand yourself with our privacy practices, as given below. If you wish to share your personal information with ABTCPD, it will be deemed assumed that you have given consent willfully on the terms of this privacy policy.

- Collection of Personal Information:-

ABTCPD collects personal information only when it is required for business purposes with the express consent of the declarant in specific in accordance of Digital Personal Data Protection Act,2023.

While collecting any personal information, ABTCPD indicates the purpose of collection of such information and obtains the consent of the provider of the information either in digital form or in writing. ABTCPD gives the person providing the information an option of not providing the information. He also has the option of withdrawing his consent given earlier. Such withdrawal of consent shall be in digital or writing to ABTCPD. In such cases, ABTCPD may choose not to provide any services/supply goods for which the information was necessary.

While collecting information, ABTCPD or any authorized entity on its behalf to collect information takes such steps as are, in the circumstances, reasonable to ensure that the person providing the information has the knowledge of –

- The purpose for which the information is being collected; and

- The fact that the information is being collected by ABTCPD

- The intended recipients of the information

- The name and address of the agency that is collecting the information; and

-The agency that will retain the information

The providers of information are permitted, as and when requested by them, to review the information they had provided and ensure that any personal information or sensitive personal data or information found to be inaccurate or deficient shall be corrected or amended as feasible. Provided that ABTCPD shall not be responsible for the authenticity of the personal information or sensitive personal data or information supplied by the person providing the information to ABTCPD or any other person acting on behalf of ABTCPD.

2. Confidentiality and Disclosure of personal information:-

The terms of confidentiality and disclosure of personal information will be recorded in the non-disclosure agreement that may be entered into with the provider of the information. ABTCPD has also adopted reasonable security measures and procedures comprising of managerial, technical, operational and physical security control measures with a view to ensure confidentiality and prevent unauthorized disclosure of personal information.

ABTCPD uses the personal information only for the purpose for which the same has been furnished. ABTCPD does not retain information after the purpose for which it is furnished is accomplished unless the same is required to be retained under any law in force or for audit purposes. In such cases also, confidentiality of such information is maintained.
